Born 26th May 1978 in Luton, Bedfordshire, Rebecca grew up as the youngest of 3. At the age of 16 left home and moved up to Norwich, to study Art, Psychology, and Sociology before moving toward her passion of art, completing her Foundation course in art at the Norwich School of Art and Design (NSAD) Now known as the Norwich University College of the Arts.

Having thoroughly enjoyed her foundation year, she found herself having to decide what the next step was. Many ingredients made up her decision, and having looked at many other Art schools and universitites across the country, none could compare (in her opinion) to the Sculpture department in Norwich. Rebecca had also, within the last 6 months become quite involved with a local church and volunteering for Norwich Youth For Christ and so it felt that Norwich was a great place to be for many reasons.

In her first year in the Sculpture department at NSAD she discovered the joys of welding, stone and wood carving.. and the patience and preciseness needed for bronze casting.

In her second year, Rebecca found herself far, far away from what was now familiar Norwich. NSAD's student exchange program had now stretched as far as Canada and Rebecca, it would seem would be the first of many NSAD's students to step upon Canadian territory. For the next 9 months, the Alberta College of Art and Design (ACAD) in Calgary, Alberta was to be her home. Initially it was meant to be a simple 4 month exchange, but Rebecca soon discovered that Canada was a beautiful place to study and asked if she could extend her exchange for the whole of the second year, to which both colleges agreed.

Nine days before her 21st birthday, Rebecca returned 'home' from the beautiful mountains of Canada to Norwich amd was now close to being in the final year of her BA, which swifly passed by with graduation seeing the one and only Tony Hart presenting the diplomas - which on reflection, was probably more exciting than obtaining a degree at the time!

From 2000 to 2002, Rebecca worked voluntarily for her church within the Catton Community of Norwich, while also gaining acces to the welding workshops at NSAD through the Access to the Arts (A2A). It was during this time Rebecca created the wings, now in situ at a local Anglican church in Norwich.

Since then, Rebecca completed her MA in Fine Art at NSAD (2004) and has worked as a children's community worker at Oak Grove Chapel (until 2010). She continues to create sculptures in her self-built workshop and spends approximately 6 months of the year on the road tour managing for incredible musicians, mostly from Canada and USA.
